The original elf bucket was a small, metal bucket, about 3 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. These were replaced a few years later with the wooden buckets featured in many places on this site. Any bucket can work as an elf bucket, but try to remember to keep it small enough for the elves to move and hide!
